After Six Months of Retirement

I took a class at Penn State (Victorian Novel which met on Tuesday and Thursday morning for an hour and a half) so that I could earn credits to keep the teaching certificate active just in case.  It was an interesting experience being on the other side of the desk.  I have a 94% average right now (sorry, professor, that I never write about "the darker side" of the symbolism and imagery in our novels, and thirty years of teaching eighth and ninth graders means that I tend to ignore sexual imagery!); the final was Tuesday evening and that grade hasn't posted yet, but I think I probably passed the course.

Now I have to decide what's next.

I'm thinking about looking for a smaller house closer to Juniata County or to Penn State, the two places I go for entertainment.  That would be one use for the PSERS money sitting in the account it's so hard to find someone to talk to about.  I've told the sales rep that he's making me feel like Jerry in the State Farm commercial - he was always available before I invested with him, now it's hard to get a person to talk to!

I'd like to do some travelling.  I'd like to take a Latin course, just for the hell of it.  I really need to start using up the stash before it takes over the house!
